Judge a business by how it responds to problems. I experienced difficulties with the service of a battery issue on our Outback. The dealership’s initial response to the problem fell short of expectations but when I pointed that out to management they went to great lengths to address the issue and far exceeded my expectations.

The best experience I've had pre, during and post buying a vehicle. Byran (Goose) was responsive and answered all of our questions, even recording videos of starting, panel lights etc prior to making the decision to drive from Helena to test drive. Easy to work with on the purchase including the finance department and Jared. They offered to deliver our car to Helena once it was detailed and had the windshield replaced. I had a very positive experience purchasing a Subaru Crosstrek from Gallatin Subaru. The sales associates were informative but not pushy. They answered my questions well.
We were in Livingston and heading home to Bigfork when our 2020 Outback had a battery issue. Gallatin Subaru was able to squeeze us in and service manager Jake took excellent care of us and got us back on the road quickly. Our pup was well taken care of as well, thanks Gallatin Subaru!

Ian and Tanner were very nice to work with. Also, the gal that taught me the electronics. I would suggest that the sales person tell the buyer in advance how the purchase goes. I was not ready for Tanner. I had too many decisions to make with out any warning. I may have made some different choices if I would have had time to think it over. Perhaps I would have called my State Farm agent and talked the choices over with her to help decide what insurance coverage would be right for me.
Very friendly, clean, knowledgeable about all their vehicles, patient with me asking so many questions especially about all the different features in each vehicle.
Yesterday I bought my second Subaru Forrester from Gallatin Subaru. I dealt with Max Carr and he was great to work with. He was professional and personal. There was also no pressure placed upon me. I would not hesitate buying another vehicle from him.
I do not live in the Bozeman area but visit my Dad who lives here. I have a 2018 Subaru Outback. About a month ago my tire light came on while visiting here. I had just had sensors replaced in my hometown (not at a Subaru dealer) The service staff here checked my sensors and let me know there was an issue with one. Allison was very helpful in helping us find a used car that would also meet all our needs. She was knowledgeable, patient but not pushy. Really great experience buying a car there last week. It’s been many years since I’ve purchased a car off a lot so I was used to haggling. The salesman told me it was a “one price” lot, which means they weren’t very flexible on price but that was OK because I’d already done my research and knew the car was $1500 under book. And when I called months later with a part replacement I needed it was taken care of without question or an additional charge! Amazing! Recently I purchased my first Subaru and immediately took it on a 7,000-mile road trip. I stopped at the Gallatin Subaru in Bozeman to ask a few questions about the car, and they treated me like VIP royalty. In addition to answering my questions, they washed my car and the floor mats and topped off my fluids and wouldn't even take any money for it. If I were a local, I would always take my car here. Barack was our salesman. He was excellent. No pressure put on me to buy. I have had horrible car buying experiences in n the past and this experience was the opposite. I was looking for a new to me vehicle as my vehicle was recently totaled in n a rear ending. I’m from out of town and needed a basic inspection on my car. The team members I spoke with are very nice and helpful. I came in without an appointment and the technicians performed the inspection within a hour. They asked my permission before making a specific adjustment. Recently, I scheduled an oil change at Gallatin Subaru and needed a ride after dropping off my car early. Sam Russo, their driver, was right on time and I safely got to where I needed to go.. The $175 troubleshooting charge was excessive if not necessary to fix known issues with the car. Most problems other than the ones actually corrected could be done by other shops in town at a lower price. Dealers seem to have too much overhead costs to justify their repair rates.

I bought a '24 Crosstrek from them in October of 2023. I never actually visited their dealership, I was able to do it all online and over the phone! They also offered free delivery to your home anywhere in Montana. The car has been great so far, the salesman was friendly and they have been responsive whenever I have inquired about anything. And most important, the car has been working out great!
I brought my car in for a rear break refresh and installing a tow hitch, I was able to move my appointment a week sooner with no trouble to Subaru and my car was finished several hours before expected. The staff was super friendly and was great to communicate with!
I purchased my Outback from this dealership and I get all my service done here. They are always super nice and never try to upsell me on anything. They keep you informed during the appointment and have decent snacks too. Today a required recall was taking longer than Subaru of America said it would. I purchased a Forester Wilderness in 2022 and have loved it ever since. Every visit to the service department has been excellent. Especially with Dylan taking care of things. I just went in today for an oil change, and it was done in what felt like world record speed! They even got my Forester a car wash. Last year, I had a warranty issue with my driver seat, and Dylan handled it smoothly, getting a brand-new replacement seat installed without any hassle. I recently had a vehicle inspection and work done on my 2017 Subaru Forester with 135,000 miles. Service was top notch. The inspection report I received was thorough and details were clear. I really appreciated how Dylan talked me through the issues my vehicle was having and made sure I understood which issues were urgent and which could wait until my next pay day. Scheduling was easy and I could get an appointment fairly quickly. I also feel good about the repairs that were made. Everything is running great. Would definitely return for service again.

I was moving from Washington to Ohio pulling a trailer with my 22 Outback wilderness when a CV axle blew right by the shop and during a snow storm. Despite having a full schedule they were able to get my Outback in and repaired and back on the road and a really good amount of time.
