Pricing
This is a
major factor for many people, and rightfully so as vehicles are one of the
biggest investments that you will make. While the exact prices of the 2019 Ford
Edge aren't available yet, the 2018 Edge was starting higher than the 2019 Outback.Â
You can actually upgrade to the second trim level of the Outback for the same
price that it is for the 2018 Ford Edge base model.
There is a
lot of excitement around the 2019 Ford Edge ST because it is a
performance-tuned model, but it will cost you upwards of $40,000.Â
The Edge ST
replaces the Sport, which is already priced just over $40,000, and the 2019
version offers a decent amount more, probably pushing it up another
few-thousand dollars whereas the 2019 Outback's top trim level stays under
$40,000.

Which
Model is Ready for Anything?
The Subaru
Outback comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, making sure you are
ready to take on any snow, rain, or gravel that is ahead of you, but the Ford
Edge comes standard as a Front-Wheel Drive vehicle, making you drive the price
up even further to match the abilities of the 2019 Outback.
While the
numbers aren't released for the 2019 Edge, it uses the same engine as the 2018
Edge, so we can figure that the fuel efficiency will be similar.Â
The 2018 Edge
only offers up to 29 MPG highway and 21 MPG city versus the 32 MPG highway and
25 MPG city of the Outback. If you choose All-Wheel Drive on the Edge, it
further reduces the efficiency.
