The 2019 Subaru Ascent is all-new this year, and it's already making waves in the three-row SUV segment, challenging long standing competitors for the top spot. Here in Bozeman, we know what it's like to drive in winter weather conditions and we also know the boundless amount of nature and adventures at our fingertips. With so many fun outings to take advantage of, you'll want a vehicle that can deliver you to them all, and that's exactly what the new 2019 Subaru Ascent was engineered to do! To help you see what a unique and fitting vehicle the new Ascent is for Bozeman area drivers, we're going to compare it to the new Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander so you can see side by side why the Ascent is right for you!

2019 Subaru Ascent vs. 2018 Honda Pilot

  • Every new Ascent model comes equipped with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, providing you with the most traction and control possible at all times. The Pilot, however, comes equipped with standard front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive equipped models will hail a heftier price.
  • The Ascent offers 8.7-inches of ground clearance for when the snows get deep or the terrain gets rugged. The Pilot falls short with just 7.3-inches of ground clearance.
  • Every Ascent model comes with standard Subaru Eyesight Driver Assist Technology, with safety features like pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and more. The Pilot does offer comparable safety technology, but it won't come standard. Also, the Ascent offers available LED Steering Responsive Headlights for heightened visibility at night, while the Pilot, does not.

2019 Subaru Ascent vs. 2018 Toyota Highlander

  • Much like the Pilot, the Highlander comes equipped with standard front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive equipped models with cost you more. The Ascent, however, comes with standard all-wheel drive on all models, providing you with the capability you need to take on any weather condition or terrain.
  • Every new Ascent comes equipped with a standard Starlink multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Highlander offers a multimedia system, but doesn't offer Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
  • The Ascent offers more space than the Highlander does, providing you with up to 153.5 cubic feet of passenger volume compared to 144.9 cubic feet in the Highlander.
